A 14-year journey of hope, patience, perseverance, hard work and success

A brave woman recently achieved pregnancy after undergoing IVF treatment at Naari Hospital, which at one stage seemed impossible.

This patient had faced multiple major surgeries in the past — including two laparotomies: one for intestinal obstruction and another for a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. She later suffered another ectopic pregnancy on the opposite side, requiring yet another major operative laparoscopy. Sadly, both her fallopian tubes were lost due to these complications.

After 14 years of marriage and infertility, she came to us at Naari Hospital for help.

Upon evaluation, we discovered:

• 6 to 7 fibroids (3–6 cm in size)
• An endometrial polyp
• And, as mentioned, no fallopian tubes

Our expert laparoscopic surgeon performed a marathon laparoscopy, carefully removing all fibroids and the polyp via hysteroscopy.

We proceeded with IVF using her own eggs. Unfortunately, the first cycle failed due to borderline endometrial thickness. But we didn't give up. We performed a hysteroscopy with sub-endometrial PRP instillation to improve the lining.

And then… she conceived in her second IVF attempt!
